“THE JOURNEY OF A LIFETIME”

26th NATIONAL RALLY – KALGOORLIE OCTOBER 2011

For an extraordinary adventure, you need to go to an extraordinary destination. KALGOORLIE.
The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder has a wonderful ‘present’ and an extremely colourful ‘past’.

If you’re looking to step into a world of awe-inspiring beauty and discover experiences found nowhere else on earth then the 26th National Rally in Kalgoorlie will be a magic start or end to a 'journey of adventure’.

“Living the dream” and travelling the great state of Western Australia is what THIS ADVENTURE is all about!

Discover 'fields of gold, or pink and yellow’ throughout the fabulous wildflower season. Whilst the forests, lakes, vineyards and coastline of the lower southwest will lure you into spending relaxing sun filled days of leisure in the wonderful company of fellow travellers.

The road trips throughout WA are among the very best in the nation. Some, like the famous Gibb River Road, have a built-in challenge while others are whisper quiet. You can enter WA via the Savannah Way from Cairns to Kununurra (best from May to September) where the great Ord River Dam/Lake Argyle offers you a tourist’s delight.

Why not try a more traditional entry to the State via the magnificent Nullarbor Plain. Play golf on the worlds longest Golf Course, view the Great Southern Ocean from magnificent heights, and perhaps sight a whale or two romping around in quiet bays with calves in tow. Looking to the heavens, there is no better place in the world to see the glorious southern skies with such pristine clarity.

Closer to the ground you will see the magnificent flora and fauna of the treeless plain. Null-arbor (Latin) conjures up scenery devoid of reasonable life forms; nothing could be further from the truth. Camels, wombats, dingoes and wild dogs, sheep, kangaroos, emus, soaring Wedgetail Eagles are just a few of the animals you could encounter. So if you hurry you’re bound to miss “nature’s wonders”. Another fabulous event of the southern skies is a Southern Aurora- look out for it on ‘the Nulla’

The National Rally will have all the features of a fantastic event with a unique Western Australia flavour, ensuring it will be much more than just 'another’ trip. Can you afford to stay at home and miss the adventure of a lifetime?

If gold prospecting is a thing that all your life you have longed to do, why not do the real thing and come to our ‘Fields of Gold’

It’s a 'journey’ that will make the 2011 Rally come alive for you. Don’t just turn around after Deniliquin and go home, keep coming West. You’ll love it!

Phil Chadd (W28874) and the Rally Team say G’day from WA. We’ll see you soon!
