In 1998, a group of HF Radio users formed the HF Radio Club Inc.

The HF Radio Club Inc currently has three base stations, one at Casino Village , NSW, one at Cooladdie, Qld. and the third at Albany WA . All bases are equipped with Telephone Interconnect, so you can radio the base and connect to any telephone (landline or mobile) from wherever you are in Australia . The base station at Casino Village is operated by Ivan and Frank DeKock, (02)6662 1069. The base station at Cooladdie is operated by Colin & Eva McDonald and Karen & Mick Frost, (07) 4654 0347. The base station at Albany is operated by Merv Brough, (08) 9844 1018.
As well as providing this service, the club assists travelling members when the family wants to contact them and they are not in a mobile reception area. A message can be left, requesting the station operators to get in touch with the members advising them to make contact with the caller. Travelling members, please ensure the family has the base numbers. Family members trying to contact a traveller, leave your phone number for the base operators, so that they can let you know the result of the emergency call.
One of the other great things about the HF Radio Club Inc is the friendliness between members, as they use their HF Radios to keep in contact with each other, across Australia .
