Wattle Ridge Vineyard is situated in a rural farming area called Greenbushes on the highest point of the Darling Scarpe in South West WA.
Travelling along the South Western Highway offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. The Blackwood valley wine region, of which Wattle Ridge is a part of, has characteristically rich laterite soils and an abundance of water. The climate produces frosty winters and hot dry summers, successful growing conditions for Mediterranean style wines.
Owner / Managers Jim and Vicky Henderson established the vineyard in 1997 planting 10,000 Cabernet vines. With the success of their first selections, Jim and Vicky have expanded their grape varieties to include Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Verdelho.
Wattle Ridge is the starting place of an innovative chip and sip golf course with nine holes across seven venues.
