Rupanyup is a small country township that services the surroundingfarming community. It is located on the Wimmera Highway in north west Victoria. A feature of the town is it’s wide main street, developed with shade trees and facilities which make it an ideal stopping point.
There is an abundance of activities in the area for visitors including fishing and picturesque walking tracks. Other visitor attractions include Wood’s Farming and Heritage Museum with its amazing collection of farming memorabilia, the Old Flour Mill and Cust’s Store which is an example of an old-style general store.
The Jack Emmett Billabong and Rupanyup Memorial Park is a recent addition to the town. The artificial lake is surrounded by native trees and shrubs and has RV and camping facilities available, making it a great place to stay awhile.
