Mount Magnet was established as a gould rush town. Around the town there is plenty to see, enjoy the ‘Heritage Walk’, a stroll down through the main street which still gives a feeling of days gone by, with its wide road and old shop fronts.
For the more adventurous The Mount Magnet Tourist Trail is a 37 kilometre self-drive trail that includes sights such as the Amphitheatre, Granites, caves and old mining settlements.
Events include; the Mount Magnet Festival held in September and two race meets per year held in April & October.
