Warra, a small country town is located 47kms northwest of Dalby on the Warrego Highway. Take a wander around town and visit the Richard Best Memorial Park, home to the restored former Warra Railway Station. It houses the Progress and Heritage Society Museum. The Historical Warra Hotel is well worth a look it is a grand rambling structure and a fine example of architecture that has become commonly known as ‘Queenslander’. Anglers may be rewarded with a catch of Yellowbelly or Murray Cod from the banks of the Condamine River, or enjoy a day at the races which brings people from far and wide to enjoy the hospitality of the country and the colour of a country race day.
