Kimba is a small tourist friendly farming town situated on Highway One at the northern end of the Eyre Peninsula, with the Gawler Ranges to the north. Kimba is surrounded by national parks with many opportunities for day trips into the outback, featuring the geographical wonders of granite outcrops and salt lakes of the Gawler Ranges. Kimba offers pleasant, shady rest areas either adjacent to the Eyre Highway, or within the peace of the town. It also offers all the goods and services one would expect in a small country town such as two supermarkets, newsagency, unique award-winning hotel, hospital, Visitor Information Centre and Community Library featuring free internet.
