Situated on the Gwydir River, Bingara is the gateway to the Copeton Dam. With the mountains in the background, the region is rich in natural beauty. The river and dam offer many activities, including fishing, swimming and boating and the surrounding bushland is great for horse riding and bush walking. Bingara’s history is depicted in many buildings and the Roxy Theatre with its art deco architecture is worth a visit. Experience a ‘tree change’ in this friendly country town.
