Clothes Line Etiquette in the Van Park
Did someone move your washing on the van park line today?
It’s part of van park etiquette in parks along the way.
Use clothes lines by the quarter or you might regret the day
Divorce court could be your next stop, where you won’t have a say.
My friend went out the other day, the washing she did hang
That afternoon as she was inside cooking tea
Her husband took the washing in “I’ve helped you see,” said he.
A month went by and then one day while cleaning out his drawers
A pair of women’s knickers found, “Oh dear! But aren’t they yours?”
“Unfaithful” yelled my friend and then she filed for a divorce
Her poor old husband’s still in shock, while she shows no remorse.
The moral of this story is when you are hanging out
Your washing on the van park line, be sure what you’re about.
You never know what man will find your knickers in his drawer,
And you could be the co-re named or even something more.
